I have been saving up old sheets, I should say "vintage" sheets for awhile. I used my Accuquilt to cut 4 1/2 inch squares. I figure if I sew 25 of them together every day, in no time I'll have enough sewn together for a quilt top. I think I need to cut a few more....

Working on a quilt for a baby due in September. His room will be done in browns, tans, sage green, etc. Kind of a star theme going... as I have seen the bedding, etc. this needs borders yet, but you get the idea...

My friend Julie over at
joetulips made this cute postcard. It was so much fun to get in the mail! I am amazed at what she does with stuff in her recycling bin. I think she should sell her creations!

The postcard makes a good bookmark.... it will eventually hang on the wall in my sewing area, but I needed something to make my place.... I love these books by Joanne Fluke....... they include recipes...
I love everything. I never thought of the postcard becoming a bookmark! Gives me ideas for what to put on postcards for readers!
ReplyDeleteDid you remember to take the bookmark out when you returned the book??
