Scrappy Pillows

Several months ago, I bought some throw pillows on clearance at Target.  I bought 2 of these long, bluish-green fake fur pillows that look like this:
Trust me, they are much greener in person than they appear in the picture.  Anyhow, after making the scrappy quilt for my bed, I decided it was time to make some pillow covers, too.
I hand-quilted the square one on the right, using white DMC floss.  The one on the left is machine quilted in the ditch.  I might add some hand quilting to this one, too.  I love the texture it adds.  They both have the simple envelope type of back.  So easy....
The square one has a 14 inch pillow form inside.  I still have a new 16 inch pillow form, so I will make a cover for that, and I also have one more of the fake fur pillows, so will make a cover for that, too.

I'm really quite late, but I finally jumped on the Scrap Vomit bandwagon......

I can't remember exactly where I first saw the "Scrap Vomit" quilt.  It might have been here.  After seeing that one, I found lots more online... like here.  I found the tutorial on "I'm a Ginger Monkey's" blog, here...
Well, I finished my Scrap Vomit top this morning.  I think maybe I tried to use up too many of my uglies at all once...

I'm not loving it.  I think it actually looks better in this picture than it does in person.  Maybe it just needs to grow on me.  This quilt will be a wedding gift for my daughter-in-law's sister.  The wedding is in July, so I'm hoping that leaves me plenty of time for the quilter to work her magic.....I decided it's probably best if I don't share the name of this quilt with the bride and groom.  :)

Charlie went to the dog groomer yesterday.  His friend Ozzie (Julie's dog) had the appointment right after Charlie's.  Between Ozzie and Charlie, she cut/shaved off a lot of hair.  I wonder what she does with all that??  Anyhow, Charlie was pretty tired out when we got home.  I tried to take his picture, but he wasn't cooperating.  This was the best I could do......
Now we just need some warm weather!
